Is Delta Airlines Still flying- Lean here
DELTA’S COVID PRECAUTIONS
Although the majority of Delta customers have been at home since the COVID-19 pandemic started, a lot has improved at the airline to improve cleanliness and safety so you can feel more assured when you return to flying. We call it the Delta CareStandard, and it involves layers of security for customers and employees during the travel journey to ensure clean surfaces, more space, and safer service.
The Delta CareStandard video demystified today's travel experiences by walking consumers through the layers of security they can expect while travelling with Delta.
Is it safe to fly Delta now? The Delta CareStandard ensures that you will feel secure in your decision to fly from the moment you walk into the check-in lobby, through screening, to the doors, on the plane, and at your final destination's baggage claim. Based on expert medical advice and customer reviews, Delta is actively reviewing best practices and improving the new quality of treatment. We'll continue to innovate and improve with the same pioneering spirit we're known for, keeping cleanliness and protection in mind.
Crews use electrostatic sprayers to sanitize aircraft interiors with a high-grade disinfectant from floor to ceiling during each flight. Cleaning crews then wipe down cabin surfaces such as benches, consoles, seatback screens, windows, doors, lavatories, and other high-touch areas with detailed manual cleaning procedures.
Any mask with an exhaust valve has been ruled out as a suitable face mask for passengers flying on a Delta or Delta Connection flight.
Customers with disabilities who are unable to wear a mask due to their condition should cancel their trip or be prepared to complete a 'Clearance-to-Fly' process at the airport prior to departure. If you need this exemption due to a disability, please arrive early to complete the process during check-in to avoid missing your flight.
It can take up to an hour to complete this procedure. Mask exemptions only apply to flights operated by Delta Air Lines and Delta Connection, and do not exempt passengers from any requirements imposed by governments (at the origin or destination), including local, national, or foreign governments, or from requirements on other airlines. Please check the local mask mandate criteria for your departure, connection, and arrival locations.
NOTE: Making false claims of injury to secure a waiver from wearing a mask or face covering would result in the loss of travel privileges on every Delta flight for the duration of the mask/face covering provision, as well as reporting to appropriate government authorities.
Delta passengers would have sent text messages and emails reminding them of the new realities of travel and Delta's health protocols long before they arrived at the terminal. They'll also have to sign a health statement and agree to obey Delta's latest face-covering guidelines at check-in.
